Happy Kiss Pole Fitness
When deciding what Level division to perform in - think of what Level you feel confident and comfortable in. The Level class you are currently in DOES NOT dictate when Level you should compete in.
If you are not currently taking classes at Happy Kiss - you can submit an application for the Showcase portion of the Showdown.
Show us your skills in your application video!
Video should me 1 minute max. Video can be submitted via Instagram, YouTube or Google drive.
Show us the following in your video:
Level 1: 2 spins, figure 4 & angel
Level 2: 2 spins, an inverted V & an outside leg hang
Level 3: 2 spins, an aerial invert & shouldermount
Showdown : 1 minute video of a sample performance
Deadline to submit application & video is Feb 17th, 2017.
Song files must be sent no later than March 15th.
Songs must be no longer than 4 minutes. We know the songs you have in mind are legendary - but edit if you need to! 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 minutes is ideal.
Perform only moves that are at your Level or below. For example, if you are competing in Level 2, you are restricted from performing moves that are considered Level 3 or higher.
The Showdown is taking place at the HighDive. The stage is approximately 18 feet wide x 16 feet deep. There will be 2 45mm chrome X-Poles on the stage about 9 1/2 feet tall. If you are facing the audience - the right pole will be on static and the left will be on spinner.
This year we will not have a traditionally juried show. More details on this to follow. Keep these things in mind when creating your choreography:
1. Your song choice
3. Your emotional/artistic expression
4. Creativity with use of space
5. Telling a story through your dancing
6. CONNECTION to the audience
Not a Happy Kiss Pole Fitness Student? Want to perform without the pressure of competition? You can apply to be a part of our Showcase portion of the show. Spots will be limited due to time restraints and priority will be given to competitors.
